I bought the domain holisticsingularity.com yesterday. This would be the third time I bought it, so it is fair to say, that even if I would let it go again, it would still be mine. But anyway… I bought back my domain mainly because something John Scalzi said (also) yesterday, during a public event discussion. He was talking about his blog, the fact that he is old, and how he saw the rise and fall of many once popular platforms of social media. His point was that by having his own site, his presence on other platform was less important, because he could always be found on his site. And that is a good thing to have, when you are a (an aspiring) writer.

This small nugget of wisdom hit home with me, as I had this space already, many times, in fact. And I am an aspiring writer. So the decision was made then and there to revive this place, this corner of mine of the interweb. I will use it as a catalyst for my writing, publishing everything here. I do not want to sound enthusiastic. I will not be writing here every other day or something. The plan is to have one article published per week. That should be realistic enough, feasible even.

I also contemplate of changing the looks of the site a bit, maybe to take down the movie reviews that were dominating the content before. This place was conceived as a movie review space initially. But one can say that those too are samples of my writing, just not fiction. Don’t know, we will see… What I do know is that the first 2 post here will be couple of short stories I written, although in Hungarian. I will not be translating them, but I want them to be here, because they are mine, and the other place they are published as well is not accessible to the general audience.

So… third time the charm?
